Tired of the rain

So in our last blog, we talked about the nice spring evening we had and decided to take advantage of it and go for a walk.  Today and the rest of this week is a different story…rain, rain, rain in the forecast.  Coming from Southern California, we are tired of this Pacific Northwest rain.  Luckily, Portland has many indoor things to do for kids.  This morning, we went to the mall.  Mama got to do a little shopping while the kids played in the indoor playground.

Spring is here!

In the summer, we love to eat dinner early and then take a walk around the neighborhood afterwards.  This evening, around 7pm, we decided to take advantage of the somewhat warm weather and go on a stroll.  It was the first evening in a long while that it hasn’t been raining or freezing cold out.  Remember the days when we were kids- we would run around outside without a jacket or ride around on our bikes without a care in the world what time it was…

Portland Children’s Museum

The first Friday of every month, the Portland Children’s Museum hosts a free night from 5-8pm.  Like many children’s museums, there are tons of things to do.  But there is only one room that Miles goes to.  Yes, the room with all the Tonka trucks.
